Enterprise Challenges develop your confidence and aspirations for what you can achieve. They increase your understanding of the world of work and your ability to have a positive impact on the wider community and society. Taking part will build on your ability to work within team, make decisions, solve problems, communicate, think creatively and be resilient!
TikTok Challenge
Congratulations to our BTEC Level 3 Business students who won the TikTok Enterprise challenge. Each team created a TikTok video promoting the ethos and work of Hope365 who are based in Ballyclare.
Their mission is rescue kids from the streets in Ethiopia giving them shelter and safety.
The Gathering Drum
BTEC Level 2 & 3 Music and Music Production students took part in a team building drum circle provided by The Gathering Drum. This session was a great ice breaker for the students as they took part in rhythm and percussion games.
Pitching for a New Business
Our BTEC Level 3 Students carried out business pitches to raise funds to create a viable micro-business where they will sell home made products at the up-coming Belfast Met Festival of Hope on 1st December This allowed students to experience the challenges faced when opening and running a business. All profits will go to Hope 365 who raise funds for street kids in Ethiopia.
Wear It Pink
Belfast Met Supported Learning students from ILW, Enterprise and ICE groups got involved with ‘Wear it Pink’ to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. Students all word something pink and took part in sponsored walks, dance and singing events, art competitions, ice-cream selling – they sang, wore pink and partied! So far, they have raised £1,586! Well Done to all involved!
