Helping Your Business Innovate
Innovation is critical for Northern Ireland’s success; Belfast Met delivers various programmes financed by the Department for the Economy (DfE) and Invest NI which help businesses embrace innovation. Belfast Met’s Support for Business team work closely with companies to provide guidance on innovative concepts, tailored training and technical mentoring to achieve an advanced level in adopting and embracing innovation.
InnovateUs is a fully funded skills development programme which offers a unique, tailored training solution for small businesses. Funded by the DfE, the programme's aim is to deliver bespoke training solutions that encourage and enable a business to bring an idea to the market through new product, service or process development.
Through the programme, our team of skilled lecturers provide between 20-60 hours of fully funded training to companies with fewer than 50 employees. A member of the Support for Business team will meet with you to discuss your company’s needs, complete a short skills audit and develop a bespoke training plan to be delivered to your employees.
Training solutions are available in a wide range of skill areas, for example, Belfast Met has provided bespoke training solutions around software development, 3D CAD, materials and textile manufacturing, product prototyping and composites moulding. The scope is wide - what skills do your company need to innovate and grow?
Following the September 2020 announcement from the Department for the Economy social enterprises are now eligible for this funded programme.
