Essential Skills are the most important and useful skills we all need to succeed in education, work and everyday life. At Belfast Met, you can get qualifications in English, Maths and ICT while you are completing your course.

Fast Track Assessments
Do you have a grade D at GCSE in English, Maths or ICT or a Level 1 Essential Skills in these subjects?
Come for an initial assessment and if successful in ONE WEEK you could Fast Track your way to an Essential Skills Level 2 qualification in English or Maths or ICT.
Do you have A to C in English and Maths but no ICT qualification?
And/or
Are you enrolling on a Level 3 programme with the College and no ICT qualification?
Come for an initial assessment and in ONE WEEK you could Fast Track your way to a Level 2 Qualification in English, maths or ICT.
Go to the following rooms for an assessment that will take 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete.
Millfield Campus
English: Millfield 2-4-08 (23rd August and 27th August only)
Maths : Millfield 2-4-14 (23rd August-27th August only)
ICT: Millfield 2-1-19 (23rd August- 27th August only)
Titanic Quarter Campus
English: TQ Level 2-068 (23rd August and 27th August only)
Maths: TQ Level 2-069 (23rd August and 27th August only)
ICT: TQ Level 2-070 (23rd August and 27th August only)
• Assessments on both days will start at 9.30am for all subjects
• Last assessments will start at 3.30pm for all subjects.
Fast track English, maths and ICT courses are running 2nd September -6th September 9.00 am-17.30pm in our Millfield campus.
Full attendance is required. The exams for maths and English will take place on 13th September
