Belfast Met students scoop Colleges NI BEST Award Software Prize for the 5th year running!

Foundation Degree in Interactive Design students Caolan McLaverty, Stephen McShannock and Mark Reed have been working with Citizen’s Advice Belfast as part of their work-based learning to develop a custom build responsive WordPress website in accordance with strict branding quidelines.  The website was launched at E3 to great critical acclaim. 

Elaine Downey, Head of Advice Services, Department of Communities expressed how keen she was to see more projects like this being developed.  The judges at Colleges NI BEST awards were also suitably impressed and awarded the Software Prize to the project.  A delighted Stephen said “We were really surprised when we won but are absolutely delighted!”  Stephen and Caolan have been studying at the college for 5 years working their way up from level 2 courses to the Foundation Degree in Interactive  Design which they are due to graduate from this year along with team member Mark Reed.
