Belfast Met is gearing up for a virtual information week with a difference this month for its Higher Education courses. The virtual kick-off event on 24th May at 10.30am will be hosted by CoolFM’s breakfast presenters Pete, Rebecca and Paulo who are taking a look around the college campuses to find out why Belfast Met is a great alternative to university. Our Higher Education Week will give the opportunity to explore the huge choice of Higher Education courses on offer in Belfast and give a deeper insight into our courses and student experience.

With events running all week the virtual event will showcase CoolFM interviews with our Principal and Chief Executive, Louise Warde Hunter, as well as Higher Education graduates and the President of the Student’s Union when parents, carers, guardians and prospective students can find out what is so great about studying at Belfast Met.

There will be information on the college’s Student Support Services and virtual information sessions throughout the week from each academic School. This will highlight why prospective students should make us their first step into Higher Education as we offer foundation degrees, degree courses in some areas, with many courses offering direct routes into university.

With the widest range of industry relevant courses available in Northern Ireland our courses are designed to provide students with qualifications and skills that employers need, as well as vital work experience opportunities.

We have the largest range of Higher Education courses in NI in areas that include courses in Business, IT, Construction, Engineering, Sport, Event Management, Travel & Tourism, Health & Social Care, Creative Media Production, Marketing, Accountancy, Fashion, Animal Management, Property Planning, Architectural Engineering and much more, so the next place could be yours.

The virtual Information sessions will run from 24-28 May when parents and prospective students will have the opportunity to interact with course team members and representatives from Student Support services.

Kicking off with our first virtual information session will be the Belfast Business School’s webinar on Monday 24th May, followed by Health, Wellbeing and Inclusion on Tuesday the 25th May. Then we have the School of Academic and Continuing Education information session on Wednesday the 26th May, and we’ll hear from the School of Science, Engineering and Construction on Thursday the 27th May. The School of Creative and Digital Industries will complete the week on Friday the 28th May.

So, if you are thinking Uni, make us your first choice for Higher Education and register to attend our virtual information sessions. You can apply now for up to 5 courses, and the earlier you apply the better chance you will have of securing your place.
