Published: 21 October 2021
The College is delighted to launch its new Strategic Plan 2021/22 - 2023/2024 Choose Success. The new Strategic Plan sets out a clear vision for the College’s future, its objectives and what it will do and achieve by 2024.
Chair of the Governing Body, Frank Bryan and Principal & Chief Executive, Louise Warde Hunter announced: “A strong Belfast Met supports a flourishing Further Education (FE) sector and a vibrant Belfast region. A strong FE sector and a thriving capital city means a better Northern Ireland.
We want to see:
- Learners choosing Belfast Met as the best place to come to enable them to compete in the labour market and succeed in work and life;
- Our city’s talent choosing to work and thrive as Belfast Met employees; and
- Businesses seeing the College as a partner of choice for business development, innovation and apprenticeship solutions.
At the heart of the new plan are our learners, those that are already at the College and the future learners who choose to study at Belfast Met, working alongside our employers who create employment opportunities.
This plan aims to position Belfast Met as the leading educational establishment in the provision of vocational and technical teaching and learning in the post-COVID-19 era in Northern Ireland. Our vision is ambitious and long term, but our priorities are immediate, so that we remain agile enough in this period of uncertainty to meet the skills needs of learners and employers by providing them with greater certainty to compete in the labour market and so drive economic recovery.
