Belfast Met Event Management students have put their skills to the test by organising the first ever Belfast Institute of Travel and Tourism Future You Conference at their iconic Titanic Quarter Campus.

The event saw a wide range of industry exhibitors attend who engaged directly with the students to inspire them on embarking on a future career in their industry.

Also, in attendance offering their support to the Travel & Tourism industry were various Visitor Attractions, Hotels, Airports, Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Air traffic Controllers and much more showcasing their available career opportunities.

Belfast Met prides themselves on their vision of being the college of choice for learners and the partner of choice for employers. This event brought that vision to life by continuing in their purpose of equipping learners, driving innovation, and transforming lives.

With a full house attendance, the audience were engaged and inspired by such a varied range of guest speakers and student alumni. The conference really stretched the career aspirations of Belfast Met students and also visiting students from other Regional Colleges and schools from across the province.

The conference was hailed as a great success and enjoyed by all who attended with special praise going to their Foundation Degree Event Management students who made it all happen.

Many of the school students shared positive feedback, with many saying they have been left feeling inspired and those that have not yet moved to Further or Higher Education are now planning on choosing a Travel, Tourism, Events or Hospitality course.
