Minister and UTV MD Congratulate Belfast Met Student
Belfast Met HND Media student Sam Lockhart was the toast of his class as he claimed the runner up prize for Moving Image Fiction at the recent Ulster Media Show. The event was held in the main TV studio at e3 and guests included The Minister for Employment and Learning Dr. Stephen Farry MLA and Michael Wilson Managing Director of UTV Television and UTV Ireland. The key note was delivered by Dermot Lavery MD of DoubleBand Films.
Speaking about the success Head of School Dr. Jonathan Heggarty said: "I am delighted that the hard work done by the course team has resulted in another award for one of our students. It has been a great year for the Media team who enjoyed more success by winning prizes at the recent Royal Television Society Student Awards."
