International speaker and author, Professor Neil Thompson, calls into Belfast Met with latest publication for Gerry Skelton.
In welcoming Professor Neil Thompson back to Belfast Met, Gerry Skelton commented:
“I was delighted to meet once again with Neil, to consolidate our work on equality, challenging negative discrimination and championing anti-oppressive practice. Building on our 2016 symposium (Discrimination and oppression: dealing with the ‘ISMs’), I felt privileged he chose to present me with a copy of his latest book release ‘Promoting Equality’ (4th edition, 2018); which make an essential contribution to the social work and wider fields. I wholeheartedly endorse this text {and Neil Thompson’s work generally}, and strongly encourage educators, trainers, practitioners and students to read and absorb its wisdom and challenge”.
Reflecting on his recent visit, Professor Thompson commented:
“It was a delight to pay a return visit to Belfast Met and present Gerry Skelton with a copy of the brand new fourth edition of my Promoting Equality book. Gerry is an inspiring teacher and a model of integrity, and so it is always a pleasure to spend time with him.”
