Belfast Met's Space Camp has lift off!
Today Belfast Met launched its stellar Space Camp which will take place this summer for young people interested in astronomy, space travel and aerospace sciences.
Chris Corken, head of the Science and Engineering Department at Belfast Met, urged young people to sign up to the camp:
“This is a fantastic way to learn more about a fascinating subject and find out how you can turn it into a career. Not only will you learn a great deal but you’ll have fun in the process and create amazing summer memories. This along with our IT summer camp supports our vision to encourage industry relevant learning for individuals to help them progress in a range of fields.”
Belfast Met is grateful for the sponsors and supporters of this year’s event including Nacelle Systems, Armagh Planetarium, Institute of Physics, Royal Society of Chemistry, Queen’s University Belfast, the Department of the economy as well as the director of the Northern Ireland Space Office and Invest NI Space Sector advisor Robert Hill.

Belfast Met also has a wide range of part-time and full-time courses starting in September ranging from academic and skills based subjects to languages and hobby related courses – log onto Belfastmet.ac.uk for more information. There will also be a Part Time Courses Open Day taking place at the Titanic Quarter Campus on June 23 from 3pm to 8pm.
