The atmosphere at Belfast Met’s Titanic Quarter campus was electric today with students filing through the campus to receive their A Level results. Whether it was tears of joy or frustration once those letters were opened – one factor was unanimous across the board – they all enjoyed their time studying at the college immensely. Here’s what some of the students had to say…

Jordan Warnock (19) Glengormley

I did okay, I got a got distinction in Business and a merit in double award Sport. I’ m over the moon with my results – all of the hard work has paid off. I’ll be celebrating tomorrow night with some friends. I’m going back now in September to study for my HND in business. I’m looking forward to going back to Belfast Met – the teachers are great and really supportive plus the facilities are modern and student focussed.

Rachel Whitcroft (19) Jordanstown

“I did quite well, I got two As in English and History and a B Business Studies. I’m delighted and hope to now to go on and study law at university. My experience at Belfast Met has been fantastic. The tutors were great and really helped me to organise my workload for three intense A Levels.”

Rachel’s Mum, Lynsey Rainey: “I’m so proud of her, Rachel has been through a lot before she came here to study – it’s an amazing feeling to see how well she has done here today.”

Emma McNerney 18 and Fionnuala Magill (19), both from Belfast

Emma: “I did okay. I got a D in Creative Writing and an E in Sociology – I’m happy with my results. I am returning in September to study Biology. I have really enjoyed my time here much more than my experience at school – I haven’t been put under as much pressure and I feel I work better that way.”

Fionnuala: “I am thrilled – I got two As in AS Sociology and RE. I am returning next year to study for my A2 qualifications. I’ve enjoyed learning ant Belfast Met – as well as the supportive staff there’s a great atmosphere and I’ve gained a whole new set of friends.”
