Belfast Met Piloting Innovative Vocational Education & Training
Belfast Met is a partner of a 3 year EU project called Live Skills. Belfast Met has designed and is currently piloting 3 innovative Vocational Education and Training curricula in the Audiovisual and Live Performance sectors.
The project’s key objectives are to enhance skills in these sectors, from entrepreneurial and management skills to the use of cutting-edge digital technologies.
These learning programmes will initially be designed for 2 audiovisual professions: Sound Managers & Video/Film Editors, and will cover the following areas:
• Arts Management
• Digital and New Technologies
• Cultural Entrepreneurship
These learning programmes will eventually be adapted to be used by a broader range of professions and other subsectors of the wider creative and cultural sector, to ensure that the material produced by the Live Skills project is both transferable and sustainable.
Led by the British Council, the project involves nine full partners across four countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and the UK) and two European-wide associated partners.
