Belfast Met is delighted to be partnering with the Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to deliver a new and innovative apprenticeship delivery model for the Operational Delivery Profession (ODP) Apprenticeship Scheme across NICS. This apprenticeships career opportunity is the result of a collaboration with the Belfast Met’s Centre for Skills and Apprenticeships (CfSA) which has co-designed this new programme with the NICS ODP.
The ODAS scheme will be delivered using a new, cutting edge digital learning platform, through the investment in a bespoke “Met LIVE” virtual studio. This new technology will enable the College to embrace our ‘Partner of Choice’ commitment to ensure that we can fully interact with learners from across Northern Ireland.
Aidan Sloane, Interim Director of Development and Digital, Belfast Met, said: “We are delighted to be the Further Education ‘Partner of Choice’ delivering the education and training for this new Operational Delivery Apprenticeship scheme with the NI Civil Service which will provide vital employment and valuable career opportunities.
We look forward to welcoming our first cohort of apprentices to Belfast Met in the very near future.” Patricia McIntyre, Head of NICS Operational Delivery Profession, confirmed: “We are excited to be working with Belfast Met on our first ODP apprenticeship. We are impressed by their digital learning offering which will provide our apprentices with the tools to undertake their course in a safe way, and we look forward to developing the skills and talents of our new apprentices. “ Learn more about the NICS ODP Scheme at ODAS
