Bespoke training leads to new product development for Dollybirds Art
Through Dollybirds Art, Eimear Maguire paints a range of native birds which are framed and sold in upcycled vintage frames. Due to the popularity of her art Eimear was keen to expand her product range through the addition of notebooks, wallpapers and fabric prints but lacked the necessary skills to do this. Through the InnovateUs programme, a bespoke training plan was developed for Eimear in the area of Photoshop and InDesign. Having completed the training Eimear can now screen print her art onto her range of tea towels and bags as well as produce repeat pattern designs for her notebooks.
“Since completing the 30 hours training I have been able to use my paintings and drawings to create a collection of patterns suitable for my new range. I have discussed these new products with my stockists and they are keen to stock them. The one to one training really worked for me as I could take the class at my pace and ask questions, it is flexible and I was able to attend the class while fitting everything else into my schedule. Dollybirds Art will continue to benefit from the mentoring as I further develop the range.”
