Belfast Met's Strategic Plan 2025/26-2028/29 sets out our strategic direction for the years ahead and reflects our commitment to transforming lives, driving innovation and supporting economic growth across Belfast and Northern Ireland. Developed through extensive engagement with learners, staff, governors, employers and stakeholders, the Plan provides a clear framework for achieving our vision and delivering meaningful impact.
At its heart, the Plan places the learner experience at the centre of everything we do, ensuring that our activities support personal growth, social inclusion, skills development and economic prosperity. The Plan also guides our annual planning and performance monitoring arrangements, helping to ensure that we remain responsive to changing learner, employer and community needs.

Belfast Met has launched its 2030 Sustainability & Climate Action Framework.
The framework takes our long-held commitment to sustainability to a new level by embedding it across every aspect of the College’s operations. At its heart is the overall, long-term goal to become a sustainable and net zero carbon college before 2050.
