Eymain

Belfast Met in collaboration with EY NI, has kicked off the first in a new series of Assured Skills Academy training courses following their recent announcement of 1,000 new jobs in Northern Ireland.

Delivered by the College, the Data and Analytics training course is the first of a number of academies to be delivered over the next 5 years. These academies will provide participants with pre-employment training, funded by the Department for the Economy, creating an important skills pipeline for the 1,000 new jobs in Northern Ireland.

The Assured Skills Academy Programme is open to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria, including graduates and those looking to upskill, advance their career or return to the workplace. This first group will undergo an 8 week course in Data & Analytics covering cloud, data management, data visualisation and data insights and will gain industry-recognised Microsoft certifications.

On successful completion of the Academy, they will each have the opportunity to secure permanent roles in EY NI’s Data & Analytics team from December 2023.

EY recently announced plans for 1,000 new jobs at EY Northern Ireland over the next five years, in a move that will bring EY NI’s total headcount to 1,900 in the region. The announcement by EY is supported by Invest Northern Ireland and the Department for the Economy and sustained by the new Assured Skills Academy programme, a demand-led, pre-employment training programme, funded by the Department for the Economy.
