Belfast Met students work featured in Youth Lyric production

Dr. Jonathan Heggarty recently attended the VIP night for the Youth Lyric production of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, at Stranmillis University College. The production featured work from students on 8 courses at Belfast Met. Jonathan is pictured with Lynda Bryans, Chair of Youth Lyric Board of Trustees, Lucky Man star Stephen Hagan and UTV's Julian Simmons.

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe poster was designed by Paul Boal, formerly a student on the HND Graphic Design course. The production was directed by our colleague Sheelagh O’Kane. The Make-up for the production was designed by students on our Level 3 Diploma in Fashion, Theatre and Media, Hair & Makeup Studies course and the costume design was worked on by students from the HNC level 4 in Performing Arts Costume Production and BTEC Extended Diploma in Art and Design Fashion and Clothing programmes.

The show was stage managed by Jonathan Mairs, one of our HND Music students, who was assessed for an assignment through Belfast Metropolitan College’s ongoing partnership with the Youth Lyric.
