Pearson BTEC Level 4 HNC in Health and Social Care Practice (610/5301/6)
Day of week: Tuesday, Wednesday
Times: 18:00 - 21:00
Overview
This is a two year part time evening programme.
The course is designed to enable learners to develop an appropriate level of knowledge and understanding regarding the underpinning values and principles, legislation and policy, and associated skills required for working in the Health and Social Care Sector.
The HNC Course is made up of 7 units, which are assessed through assignment work and class presentations.
Specific units are currently under review
- Have evidence of competence in written and spoken English and Numeracy, equivalent to Level 2 certification in each subject or GCSE grade C; have attained at least 12 points at Level 2 or above (eg GCSE) or have alternative approved qualifications;
- Have attained a pass in at least one GCE A level subject of equivalent Level 3 qualification.
- Applicants should have attained a minimum of 48 UCAS tariff points achieved through the completion of A Levels, National Awards, Access or other alternative approved qualifications and / or experience.
OR
Working part time, full time or voluntary for at least 12 hours per week in a Health and Social Care role.
You will be required to show evidence of current work or voluntary experience in health or social care at the commencement of the course and ideally at the Course Endorsement session.
