Level 1 CertificateBeauty Therapy

Overview

This one-year industry standard qualification is based on national occupational standards for beauty therapy.  The qualification is aimed at learners who are looking to start a career in the beauty therapy industry. 

This course aims to ensure learners develop the  skills to allow progression to level 2 Beauty Therapy /Nail Services. It combines an accredited project qualification, practical work experience and critical skills development, giving learners the opportunity to practice and develop their skills working in live salon environments throughout the duration of the course. 

You will further develop your skills through project-based learning, transversal skills, demonstrations, practical workshops, lectures, tutorials, competition work, master classes and industry visits. 

You will be taught by highly experienced staff in our fully equipped beauty salons. You will develop new skills and learn client procedures in a friendly, professional, and supportive environment. Within this course you will study a range of interesting subjects including: 

·         Basic Manicure & Pedicure

·         Basic Skincare

·         Basic Make up

·         Nail Art

·         Health & Safety

·         Working with Others 

To complement these subjects, you will also study areas of business and health and safety. 

You will gain valuable experience gaining practical skills in our commercial salons. You will further develop your skills through project-based learning demonstrations, practical workshops, lectures, tutorials, competition work, master classes and industry visits. 

This programme of study is likely to include additional enrichment activities/module(s) which are included to enhance your employability.
