Construction is an essential part of our local economy and source of employment, with a varied range of career pathways and professional development routes including Construction Management, Engineering and Architectural Design. Whilst qualified construction technicians, managers and professionals are required it is anticipated there will be opportunities in the implementation of low-carbon and sustainable construction.

5 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Maths and English.
Non-academic course entry requirements
Important: All applicants must also meet the following conditions:
· be 16 years old by 1 July 2026.
· provide proof of:
o Right to Study in the UK. For courses with work placement, proof of your right to work in the UK is also required.
o Photographic proof of identity
· Provide translated copies of and/or demonstrate equivalency of non-UK qualifications.

Careers
A career in construction is wide-ranging and can provide a progressive career into construction supervisor/management or starting your own business. Potential careers include Construction Management, Site Engineering, and Land, Building or Quantity Surveying disciplines.
There are also opportunities for further study at a higher level, including Higher Nationals, Foundation Degree at Belfast Met or a Degree at other Higher Education Institutes.
