Overview
This ApprenticeshipsNI course offers work-based skills development for those interested in a career journey in the world of Financial Services. By the end of the programme you will have achieved a Level 3 technical qualification in customer service as well as an NVQ Level 3 certificate in Providing Financial Services. Apprenticeships are a great pathway to consider over and above the traditional academic route for school leavers. They offer you an option to earn while you learn, providing valuable skills and experience as well as qualifications relevant to the industry you work in.

An Apprentice needs to be employed or be about to take up paid employment as an apprentice with a Northern Ireland company and be working a minimum of 21 hours per week (which includes off-the-job-training).
Non-academic course entry requirements
Important: All applicants must also meet the following conditions:
- be 16 years old by 1 July 2026.
- provide proof of:
§ Right to Study in the UK. For courses with work placement, proof of your right to work in the UK is also required.
§ Photographic proof of identity
- Provide translated copies of and/or demonstrate equivalency of non-UK qualifications.

To successfully complete the apprenticeship, you must achieve the following essential skills qualifications or already hold a recognised equivalent:
- Application of number – level 2
- Communication – level 2
- Digital ICT Essential Skills at Level 1, or if you already hold Level 1, you are required to work towards the Level 2 Digital ICT Essential Skills (DfE funded)
The essential skills are mandatory and are to be completed as part of the apprenticeship.
This course tuition fee is fully funded by the Department for the Economy.
This course will be delivered in your place of work and assessed by gathering work-based evidence via an Eportfolio. In addition to your Eportfolio, you will complete multiple-choice online tests based on the knowledge you will gain in your chosen vocational area.
Students are assessed using a range of different methods.
These include exams, assignments, work place observations, knowledge questions and professional discussions.
This is dependent on the requirements of each unit of study. Oral, written and online feedback will be provided during your course.
