Overview
This course is funded through the Skill Up programme. Skill Up has been designed to provide additional upskilling and reskilling opportunities to improve the skills profile of our local workforce.
About the Course
The OCN Level 2 Award in Digital Marketing will develop knowledge and skills in the use of internet and communications technologies for marketing activities, including search engine optimisation and the use of mobile and internet technologies for marketing applications to maximise customer engagement and increase revenue.
The course will be delivered over 12 online sessions from 6pm to 9pm every Tuesday and Thursday evening, commencing 13th January 2026
The course runs over a 6-week period and takes place online in a live virtual classroom.
To achieve the qualification a workbook for each unit will be completed. Learners will cover four units:
- Search Engine Optimisation
- Using Mobile Technologies to Market Products and Services
- Using Social Media to Market Products and Services
- Using Technology to Develop Online Interaction with Customers
Requirements
- Places on courses are limited and course dates are subject to change.
- Students must be available to attend during class hours.
- Minimum numbers will be required before a course will run.
Eligibility
To take part in a Skill Up course or programme, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Applicants to be 18 years or older at point of enrolment.
- Applicants must have a right to work and undertake training in the UK at the point of application and for the duration of the course and must not be disqualified from doing either by reason of their immigration status. - Individuals will be available to register in person at provider campus as required;
- Individual courses may have enhanced eligibility, details of which will be provided by The Provider.
Documentation confirming eligibility of the above criteria will be requested prior to securing a place on the course
Courses will be delivered online and learners must have access to a computer or laptop and internet. Please note that tablets, mobile phones and TVs are not compatible and should not be used for this course. A microphone and web camera is also desirable to improve engagement in each session.
