Overview
This Digital Skills course is focused on Neurodivergent learners who wish to increase their skills in the areas below.
The learners will be supported from all areas of the neurodivergent community, including but not limited to, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourette syndrome, and others.
This course will be full time, Monday –Friday for 15 days from Monday 24th November – Friday 12th December 2025 dates shown.
Time: 10:00am and 15:30pm
It will take place at our E3 campus, Springvale.
Participants of this course will gain an OCN NI Level 2 Award from the OCN NI Digital Skills curriculum. During the 15 days at Belfast Met, learners will gain digital skills including:
- Soft Skills: Helping you gain self confidence in entering or re-entering the world of work. Communication skills, organisation skills, work ethics, body language and more.
- Word Processing: Develop advanced document editing skills, including formatting text, creating tables, and inserting graphics using industry-standard software.
- Spreadsheet Software: Master data management, analysing and visualizing numerical data through charts and graphs.
- Presentation Software: Learn to create professional presentations, incorporating multimedia elements like videos and graphics for maximum impact.
- Email Management: Gain expertise in composing, formatting, and managing emails, including handling contacts and attachments effectively.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI): Explore the ethical use of AI, and leverage AI tools for problem-solving and prompt generation with Large Language Models.
- Cyber skills: Introduction to cyber security. Understanding the main threats to consider, how to spot them and look out for them. How to protect yourself online as well as looking at other security techniques.
Learners must be eligible through the Inclusive Futures Programme. Eligibility will be confirmed prior to securing a place. 18 yrs plus with the right to work in NI.

This course will be delivered in person. There will be extra support throughout the course from trained professionals who will be there for the duration to ensure comfortable and inclusive learning.
This is a fully funded course
