Project Management Ready - Skills Focus
Overview
This course is funded through the Skills Focus programme.
The Skills Focus programme is open to NI based businesses with less than 250 employees. Charities and Community groups are not eligible for Skills Focus funding.
The PMI Project Management Ready® course is a practical, entry-level introduction to the key principles of project management. It helps learners understand how projects are planned, managed, and delivered, covering essentials like roles, timelines, teamwork, and both traditional and agile approaches. The course is designed to be engaging and easy to follow, with a focus on applying project skills in real-world situations.
Throughout the course, learners build confidence in using project management techniques across a range of contexts, while also exploring important areas such as communication, leadership, and decision-making. On the final day, participants sit the PMI Project Management Ready® certification exam, giving them the opportunity to gain a globally recognised qualification and take their first step toward a career in project management.
Qualification Aim
The aim of this PMI Project Management Ready® qualification is to equip learners with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills needed to understand how projects are planned, managed, and delivered.
It introduces key project management principles, including different project approaches, the role of communication and teamwork, and the importance of leadership and ethical practice in delivering successful outcomes
The course will be delivered online each day from 9:30am to 16:30pm

Qualification Objectives
• Understand key project management principles and terminology.
• Apply basic planning, organisation, and time management skills.
• Recognise predictive and agile project approaches.
• Understand the role of communication, teamwork, and leadership.
• Identify the importance of ethics and professional behaviour.
• Recognise how project management applies across different roles and industries.

In order to avail of Skills Focus funding, applicants should be employees of NI based businesses with less than 250 employees.

· Company based in NI
· Charities and Community organisations are not eligible for Skills Focus Funding
Your employer will need to meet with a college representative to complete the short funding application form. This meeting can take place online or the college representative can meet in person with the employer
Course will be delivered online, and learners must have access to a computer or laptop and internet. Please note that tablets, mobile phones and TVs are not compatible and should not be used for this course. A microphone and web camera is also required to improve engagement in each session and to complete the exam assignment

Tuition Fee = £27.00
Fees are payable annually.
The programme is delivered under the Skills Focus initiative. Fees are up to 90% funded by the Department for the Economy.
Cost Per Person: £27
Learners will complete the PMI Project Management Ready exam. Assessment is through multiple-choice questions testing knowledge of project management fundamentals, terminology, and practical application across both traditional and Agile methodologies.
