Overview
Engineers are the drivers of modern life, researching, designing, building and maintaining infrastructures all around us. From our roads, cars and properties to ships, planes and explosives, the engineering sector puts the laws of science and technology into practice.
This is a two-year course.
On successful completion of this course students will achieve the Level 3 certificate and earn recognition as a fully qualified engineer.
Apprentices are fully employed with an engineering employer from day 1. They receive no training allowance from the college but receive a wage from their employer.
This programme of study is likely to include enrichment units which are an additional component to enhance your employability and apprenticeship training status within your workplace.

GCSE grade C or above in Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
In addition, you must have fully completed a Level 2 Engineering framework qualification. Evidence must be produced prior to enrolment.
