You will study the following units:
Unit AS 1: Forces, Energy and Electricity
Unit AS 2: Waves, Photons and Astronomy
Unit AS 3: Practical Techniques and Data Analysis.

- Applicants must be aged 16 or over on 1st July in enrolment year.
- Grade B or above in GCSE Physics or Grade BB in GCSE Double Award Science.
- Grade B or above in GCSE Maths or equivalent.
- Grade C or above in GCSE English Language or equivalent.
- A-Level Physics is a strongly theory-based course that is assessed by exams and builds directly on GCSE work in Physics and Maths. You are most likely to succeed if you have an appropriate base of knowledge and a good track record of success in exam based courses at GCSE overall.
- Evidence of qualifications will be required.
- Students should be confident with the material covered in these courses.
NOTE: *Single Award, Applied Science or non-GCSE Science qualifications are not suitable as preparation for progress to A level study.
** A one year Science A level is not available through our evening provision.

Academic period 2026:
FE Tuition Fee = £300.00 (Concessionary = £180.00)
Examination / Registration Fee = £50.00
Fees are payable annually.
