Overview

An exciting opportunity to apply for a place on this new programme developed with our Finance, Technology and Professional Services partners, Citi, PWC, AllState and Catalyst.

This programme is designed to create a business administration programme with technology components, project based learning and development of employability skills to help learners progress into further education, training, employment or apprenticeships in the FinTech and Professional Services sectors in Northern Ireland.

Working in partnership with a range of FinTECH and professional services companies across Northern Ireland, the programme will create progression opportunities for anyone, who meets the entry criteria for the programme.

This is a unique programme designed in partnership with Belfast Met and employer partners which will reshape the access pathways to careers in these sectors.

This is a one-year programme where students will complete ‘OCN NI Level 3 in Business Administration Skills’ qualification which mixes business and technology skills. This programme will be delivered in college 15hrs per week over 30 weeks (Sept to May) studying modules to include:

  • Improving Presentation Skills
  • Supporting Business Meetings
  • Working in an Effective Administration Team
  • Producing Complex Business Documents
  • Word Processing Software
  • Spreadsheet Software
  • Cyber Security for Business
  • IT Software Fundamentals
  • Supporting Recruitment and Selection Procedures
  • IT Communication Fundamentals

This programme of study is likely to include additional enrichment activities/module(s) which are included to enhance your employability. 

There will also be employability workshops built into the programme in conjunction with our Professional Service Partners Citi, PWC, AllState and Catalyst.

Enhance entry criteria for this course is listed below:

  • Applicants’ qualifications must include 3 GCSEs at Grade A-D which include English & Maths (preferably Grade C achieved in both English & Maths) or equivalent (e.g., Essential Skills Literacy Level 2).

Entry requirements can change and be discussed on an individual basis if necessary.

Proof of qualifications MUST be provided when you enrol e.g. exam certificates.

Achieved and pending qualifications can be recorded on your online application account.

All courses within Belfast Met are delivered and assessed in English, with the exception of language specific courses. Your competence in English must be verified prior to enrolling on your chosen course.

On successful completion of this programme, students will be eligible to apply for a Level 3 Apprenticeship opportunities in Fintech, Computing, Software Development, Human Resources or Business Administration with our partner businesses or alternatively, students will be eligible to apply for a Level 3 full time or part time programme at Belfast Met.
