Results of Castlereagh Campus Consultation

Castlereagh Campus Building One

We are pleased to share with you the summary findings of a significant public consultation exercise that the College conducted last year. This consultation focused on exploring the long-term options for the Castlereagh Campus and the potential impacts of its proposed closure.

Over the course of 14 weeks, from November 13, 2023, to February 16, 2024, we engaged extensively with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, students, local businesses, community members, political representatives, and other interested parties. Our aim was to gather diverse perspectives and insights to ensure an informed and inclusive approach to decision-making.

This summary highlights the key themes and survey results from the consultation, reflecting both the breadth of engagement and the concerns raised by stakeholders. Additionally, it outlines the next steps in the decision-making process as we continue to address the economic, environmental, and educational challenges facing the College.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this important discussion. Your feedback plays a critical role in shaping the future of Belfast Met and its role within the wider community.
