The College is proud to announce that it has won the Digital & Creative Excellence Award at the Belfast Chamber Business Awards, held on Friday evening (17 October).
This achievement recognises and celebrates the innovation and outstanding work of the Centre for Digital Innovation and Technology (CDIT) – a joint initiative between Belfast Met, Queen’s University and Stranmillis University College, delivered as part of the Belfast Region City Deal.
One of CDIT’s flagship projects, the Belfast Digital Skills and Employability Programme, led by Belfast Met, plays a pivotal role in creating pathways for people from all backgrounds to thrive in the digital economy. The programme builds skills and confidence, opening doors to ongoing education and employment opportunities.
In addition, CyberFirst NI was shortlisted in the Social Value category. This nomination recognises organisations that make a positive impact on society through economic, social, or environmental contributions — a testament to the College’s ongoing commitment to delivering real and lasting change in the community.
