This course is designed for Data Analysts, reporting professionals, and learners who already have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel / IT systems and regularly work with data.

The PL-300 certification is an Associate-level Microsoft qualification, which means it is not an entry-level or Fundamentals certification. It is intended for individuals who already possess strong digital skills and wish to develop further capabilities in data analysis, data modelling, visualisation, and business intelligence using Microsoft Power BI.

Learners should be comfortable working with data, reports, spreadsheets, and business information. While previous experience with Power BI is not essential, participants should be prepared to undertake independent study and practical exercises outside of class, between each session. The certification exam is comprehensive and challenging, requiring both technical knowledge and hands-on experience to achieve success.

My recommendations for delegates taking this exam course are:

1. Understand the concept of working with large datasets.

2. Be conversant and confident working with Computer Technology and IT Environments

3. Ideally a few months experience of Power BI

4. Good understanding of data relationships

5. Good understanding of data analysis

6. Experience of creating formula (for example Excel/Dax/SQL)

7. Experience of using Excel

8. Understanding of On-Line services /cloud would be advantageous

9. Understand the business value of Data Analysis through visualization

Requirements

This would be best suited to someone already with a basic knowledge of Power BI and educated to at least A-Level standard.

You would have ideally a few months experience of Power BI,  Experience of creating formula (for example Excel/Dax/SQL)
