Overview
This course is fully funded through the Skill Up programme. Skill Up has been designed to provide additional upskilling and reskilling opportunities to improve the skills profile of our local workforce.
About the Course
The OCN NI Level 4 Award in Social Media and Digital Marketing qualification aims to develop knowledge and skills in the use of internet and communications technologies for marketing activities and manage the use of social media within organisations. With the increased use of communications technologies many companies are taking advantage of social media and digital marketing approaches to promote and market their products and services.
The Award offers practising and aspiring marketers flexible routes into the knowledge and understanding relevant to digital marketing, enabling them to apply this in the workplace and equip them for a successful professional career.
COURSE STRUCTURE
During your course you will learn how to:
- Understand the use of social media and the associated risks.
- Understand how digital marketing and social media may be integrated into business planning.
- Understand the use of websites for marketing.
- Be able to use a digital marketing strategy to develop a digital marketing plan.
- Be able to use social media for marketing and promotion.
- Investigate and analyse factors that should be considered when planning a social media campaign
- Use and understand digital marketing frameworks, models, and theory
11 Week Course (5 hours a week – Mondays and Wednesdays from 18:00 - 20:30) to include lectures, workshops and tutorials
The course will commence on Monday 22nd September and will run online for 11 weeks.
Requirements
- Places on courses are limited and course dates are subject to change.
- Students must be available to attend during class hours.
- Minimum numbers will be required before a course will run.
Eligibility
To take part in a Skill Up course or programme, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Applicants to be 18 years or older at point of enrolment.
- Applicants must have a right to work and undertake training in the UK at the point of application and for the duration of the course and must not be disqualified from doing either by reason of their immigration status. - Individuals will be available to register in person at provider campus as required;
- Individual courses may have enhanced eligibility, details of which will be provided by The Provider.
Documentation confirming eligibility of the above criteria will be requested prior to securing a place on the course.
Courses will be delivered online and learners must have access to a computer or laptop and internet. Please note that tablets, mobile phones and TVs are not compatible and should not be used for this course. A microphone and web camera is also desirable to improve engagement in each session.
