Overview

This qualification introduces the learner to a wide range of relevant knowledge and expertise in people practice. It is suited to those learners who:

▪ are studying, aspiring to, or embarking on, a career in people practice

▪ are working in a people practice support role and wish to develop their knowledge and deliver immediate and short-term value for their organisation

▪ wish to develop the specialist knowledge, skills and understanding required to be a people professional.

You will study 4 units:

·         Business, culture and change in context

·         Principles of analytics

·         Core behaviours for people professionals

·         Essentials of people practice

Requirements

This qualification is designed for learners aged 18+ who want to learn about people practice in organisations.

Although there are no formal entry requirements, it is expected that learners can meet the requirements of the learning outcomes and can access the appropriate literacy and numeracy needed to complete the CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice. GCSE Level qualifications are recommended minimum requirement.

All courses within Belfast Met are delivered and assessed in English, apart from language-specific courses. Your competence in English must be verified prior to enrolling on your chosen course. 

The course is delivered in a blended learning format (1 week face to face, one week online) with a mixture of face-to-face classes, tutorials, and online learning activity.

Fees are payable annually.

If you are an employee of a NI Business with less than 250 employees, your employer may be eligible to apply for funding towards the cost of this programme.

Assessment

You will be assessed fully by course work which will consist of a combination of written assignments and practical assessments devised by CIPD.

Successful achievement of the CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice will allow progression onto the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management or the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development.
