GCSE Physics is delivered one evening per week for one year at our Titanic Campus. It follows the CCEA GCSE Physics, revised 2017 specification, subject code 1210, which is available form: https://ccea.org.uk/key-stage-4/gcse/subjects/gcse-physics-2017


This course is intensive and encourages students to appreciate the value of physics in their lives and the world around us. It helps them develop confidence in exploring hypotheses, evidence, theories and explanations. It also provides thorough preparation for those who plan to study physics or a related subject at a higher level.

You will study the following units:

Unit 1: Motion, Force, Density and Kinetic Theory, Energy, and Atomic and Nuclear Physics

Unit 2: Waves, Light, Electricity, Magnetism, Electromagnetism and Space Physics

Unit 3: Practical Skills


All examinations take place in May/June completed at either Foundation or Higher Tier with advice from your tutor

Requirements

16 or over on 1st July of enrolment year.
A good understanding of Key Stage 3 science. 
Grade B or above in GCSE Maths or equivalent.                                                              Grade C or above in GCSE English Language or equivalent.

Evidence of qualifications will be required.
