Overview

The HNC in Construction Management (part-time) is a Level 4 qualification made up of 120 credits. It is usually studied part-time over two years, one day per week. The HNC in Construction Management is for you if you also wish to develop your higher level skills within the construction and built environment sector and progress to a higher technician and professional level in Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Architectural Technology, Building Engineering or Facilities Management.

This course runs one day per week for two years.

Requirements

Have evidence of competence in written and spoken English and Numeracy, equivalent to Level 2 certification in each subject or GCSE Grade C.
Have attained at least 12 points at Level 2 or above (e.g. GCSE) or have alternative approved qualifications.
Have attained a pass in at least one GCE A Level subject or equivalent Level 3 qualification.
Applicants should have attained a minimum of 32 tariff points achieved through the completion of A Levels, National Awards, Access or other alternative approved qualifications.
The College recognises that some adult learners will have substantial industry experience and may not have formal qualifications to demonstrate skills, knowledge or capability. The College will work with such applicants to identify appropriate evidence equivalent to the entrance criteria. Graduates successfully completing the Higher National Certificate in Construction Management will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the basic concepts of construction and the built environment.
