Overview
CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management qualification offers the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by human resource professionals. The programme provides learners with the necessary understanding of human resource management within the broader business environment to further develop their HR career.
The Level 5 Diploma is suitable for those who have progressed from a Level 3 in Human Resource Practice and/or candidates that have suitable/relevant experience within human resources.
To complete the Associate Diploma in People Management you must complete the following 7 units:
- Organisational performance and culture in practice
- Evidence based practice
- Professional behaviours and valuing people
- Employment relationship management
- Talent management and workforce planning
- Reward for performance and contribution
- Leadership and management development
The course is delivered in a blended learning format (1 week face to face, one week online) with a mixture of face-to-face classes, tutorials, and online learning activity.

This qualification is designed for learners aged 18+ who want to learn about people practice.
Associate qualifications are suitable for those who seek to develop a career in HR management and development; are working in the field of HR management and development and need to extend their knowledge and skills; have responsibility for implementing HR policies and strategies; need to understand the role of HR in the wider organisational and environmental context.
To enter students must hold a level 3 CIPD qualification or equivalent AND have suitable/relevant experience in HR.
All courses within Belfast Met are delivered and assessed in English, apart from language-specific courses. Your competence in English must be verified prior to enrolling on your chosen course.

Examination / Registration Fee = £160.00
Tuition Fee = £775.00
Fees are payable annually.

Assessment Method: A combination of written and practical assessment activity for each unit set by CIPD.
Assessment is based on continuous course work which is organisational and HR related.
The 7 assessments require a commitment to academic study and reading on a weekly basis outside of class.
Careers
Level 5 Diploma in People Management provides the knowledge towards Associate Professional membership of CIPD. Learners may progress to other higher education study or CIPD qualifications at Level 7.
