Programme Overview
Project Management Ready is a globally recognised certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). The programme provides learners with the core knowledge, tools, and techniques required to manage projects effectively across the full lifecycle. It covers both traditional (Waterfall) and Agile methodologies.
Delivered under the Skills Focus initiative, the course is designed specifically for SMEs and their workforce. It helps organisations strengthen internal project capability, encourage collaboration, and drive innovation through structured delivery and internationally benchmarked standards.

Eligibility
Open to trading businesses or social enterprises with fewer than 250 employees.
The course is open to companies or social enterprises with fewer than 250 employees. Participants should have an interest in developing project management skills, but no prior experience is required.
The programme is delivered under the Skills Focus initiative. Fees are 90% funded by the Department for the Economy, with the remaining 10% contribution paid by the company. There is no direct cost to individual learners.
Learners will complete the PMI Project Management Ready exam. Assessment is through multiple-choice questions testing knowledge of project management fundamentals, terminology, and practical application across both traditional and Agile methodologies.

Successful completion equips learners with a globally recognised entry-level certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). It provides a strong foundation for progressing into roles such as project coordinator, junior project manager, or team lead, and is an excellent stepping stone toward further PMI qualifications or career development in project-based environments.
