Overview
This course aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge to prepare and cook a range of patisserie and confectionery products. To further develop the basic skills gained at level 2 to achieve competence and a broad understanding of all aspects of the manufacture of patisserie and confectionery. This qualification provides a vehicle to broaden the range of Patisserie skills covering units such as:
- Produce hot, cold and frozen desserts
- Produce fermented dough and batter products
- Produce biscuits, cakes and sponge
- Produce paste products
- Produce petit fours
- Produce display pieces and decorative items

Applicants should have completed a Level 2 Patisserie qualification or relevant industry experience.
All courses within Belfast Met are delivered and assessed in English, apart from language-specific courses. Your competence in English must be verified prior to enrolling on your chosen course.
Fees:
Academic period 2025:
Examination / Registration Fee = £95.00
Tuition Fee = £370.00
Fees are payable annually.
Continual assessment in Practical class and final Practical assessments on each unit.
Portfolio of evidence must be built to gain full qualification.
