Overview
Please note all enrolled students will be entered for exam
This course will follow the new specification available from http://ccea.org.uk/chemistry/
You will study the following units:
Unit A2 1: Further Physical and Organic Chemistry
Unit A2 2: Analytical, Transition Metals, Electrochemistry and Organic and Nitrogen Chemistry
Unit A2 3: Further Practical Assessment

- Aged 16 or over on 1st July
- Grade A-E in AS Level in Chemistry awarded by CCEA
- Grade C or above in GCSE English Language and Maths or equivalent.
- Evidence of qualifications will be required.
NOTE:*A one year Science A level is not available through our evening provision
Non-academic course entry requirements
Important: All applicants must also meet the following conditions:
· be 16 years old by 1 July 2026.
· provide proof of:
o Right to Study in the UK. For courses with work placement, proof of your right to work in the UK is also required.
o Photographic proof of identity
· Provide translated copies of and/or demonstrate equivalency of non-UK qualifications.

Academic period 2026:
FE Tuition Fee = £300.00 (Concessionary = £180.00)
Examination / Registration Fee = £50.00
Fees are payable annually.
