This full-time course lasts 18 months and runs over the summer period so as to start year two in September. The course will enable you to develop knowledge and skills across a broad range of professional business activities and includes opportunities to actively engage with a broad base of employers, including Corporates, SME’s and Social and Charitable enterprises in a variety of projects and internships. This course aims to prepare you for a career in business, whether as a manager or entrepreneur. You will develop a broad range of knowledge through units which include Marketing, Economics, Human Resource Management, Financial and Management, Accounting, Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship.

The HND in Computing (specialising in Software Engineering) has been designed to help you develop the skills you need to start your career in the software engineering field, whether you are interested in Software Development, Cyber Security, Data Analytics or Business Intelligence, this course will give you an excellent start on your chosen career path.
You will be taught by highly experienced staff in our computing labs which come fully equipped with industry standard hardware and software. You will also be given opportunities to gain additional industry qualifications, such as Microsoft Technical Associate qualifications.
The course takes a multi-platform approach and you'll produce news, current affairs and other factual content for a range of media platforms while learning the underpinning core knowledge and practical skills required for the production of digital content. You'll study modules including single camera techniques, video editing, sound for media, podcast production, documentary, news and editorial. In addition, you'll work to real deadlines, researching, producing, writing and presenting news and feature stories as part of a team in our TV studio and gallery. We have excellent links with media industry professionals with opportunities for student engagement.

The Beauty industry is one of the fastest growing industries within the UK with a vast amount of employment opportunities available. Higher National qualifications in Hair and Beauty Management provide a nationally recognised qualification offering career progression and professional development for those already in employment in the Hair and Beauty sector who wish to progress to Hair and Beauty management, as well as provide opportunities to progress into higher education.
If you are interested in sport, exercise and physical activity, then this is the course for you. This qualification examines scientific principles which underpin health and sporting performance and will be of interest to anyone considering a career in sport and exercise science, sports nutrition, sports psychology, sports physiology, physical education and physiotherapy or health promotion.
