GCSE stands for General Certificate of Secondary Education. They are highly valued by schools, colleges and employers.

The qualification mainly involves studying the theory of a subject, combined with some investigative work, while some subjects also involve practical work.

Belfast Met offer a number of GCSE’s available for study on a part time basis.

AS and A levels

AS (Advanced Subsidiary) and A (Advanced) Level qualifications focus on traditional study skills. They normally take two years to complete full-time in school or at the College however, Belfast Met also offer a limited subject choice for part–time study.
