Think you know Belfast Met? Think Again!

Forget about any negative connotations you may have around clearing. Belfast Met is all about the positive.

For those who didn’t get the results they were hoping for to get into a particular course or even for those people who performed better than they thought in their exams, the college’s Clearing events this August are just the ticket.

Why Choose Belfast Met?

Belfast Met is a multi-award winning college with the widest range of industry relevant courses available in Northern Ireland.

However, for those who want a little more information, the best option is to visit our upcoming Clearing day at our flagship TQ campus on 4th September from 9am to 1pm. Careers advisors and tutors will be available to discuss the wide range of options at the college.


Students will benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, smaller classes, student support, cheaper fees for higher education, a vibrant student’s union and the widest range of courses available in Northern Ireland.

Come along to our clearings days and get on the right study or career path for you. Tutors and careers advisors will be on hand to offer advice, information and support every step of the way. Get down early as course places are given on a first come, first served basis!

Parking & Transport

There is an underground pay on exit car park at our Titanic Quarter Campus. Due to essential maintenance, parking spaces will be restricted until 31st August 2018. Please allow extra time for parking. Other car parks are available in the Titanic Quarter area. Please check your parking options before setting out on your journey.

Please also note that bus lanes have just been introduced in Titanic Quarter, from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm every day.

Alternative methods of transport to Belfast Met Titanic Quarter campus are:
(1) By bus using Translink Metro
(2) On foot from Belfast city centre - approximately 1.3 miles / 20 minutes’ walk
(3) Belfast Bikes – the Titanic Belfast Met docking station is just across the road from our main entrance

Students can also visit the Clearing day at our TQ campus on 4th September from 9am to 1pm where careers advisors and tutors will be available to discuss the wide range of options at the college.

Further Education courses with vacancies remaining will be allocated based on (a) the time you arrive at our Titanic Quarter Campus and (b) if you meet the entry requirements. Details of Further Education courses in clearing will appear on the web site www.belfastmet.ac.uk from 28th August.

Please bring all exam results (including GCSE, A Level/Level 3), photographic identification and method of payment where appropriate.

What Happens at a Clearing Event

During Clearing Day you will have the option to speak with tutors, enrol in a course, get career advice and explore the campus. 

  • Come to TQ and look at courses available within Clearing
  • Bring ALL exam results including GCSE, Photographic identification & method of payment.
  • Talk to staff to discuss options
  • Are places available & you meet entry requirements? If YES, then enrol onto course!
  • If you do not meet entry retirements, discuss options with Careers & Employability team 


You will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the campus facilities and get a feel for college life. Talk to our student Funding Advisors, the Centre for Inclusive Learning & Student Wellbeing about the support that is available to you.
