BelfastMet is providing Microsoft Office to all students free of charge. This means the latest version of the full Office productivity suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and more available for offline and online use for students to use to best prepare them for class. As long as they’re a student here and the program continues, they will be able to use this software for free.
Install on up to 5 compatible PCs and Macs, plus 5 tablets (including iPad!)
Use with OneDrive for automatic device syncing
Gain valuable skills on the world’s most popular productivity software
Use the same programs at home as in College to ensure full file fidelity
Students have been sent all the relevant info to allow them to get hold of the software, so they should be able to start taking advantage of this right now.
At the start of December, Microsoft extended this offer to all staff in education establishments as well. We have been working with Microsoft to sort out the administration of this and Belfast Met staff can now take up this fantastic offer.

Get Fit, Healthy and Save Money in 2015
The College offers two travel schemes for staff. There is an opportunity to buy a bike from Halfords or to obtain a monthly bus pass from Translink. These both offer the opportunity to travel to work in a healthy and environmental way and as these initiatives are deducted from your salary at source there are tax saving opportunities too. To date 74 people have bought a bike through the cycle scheme.
