The CIM Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing is for aspiring marketers who want to gain the knowledge and skills to progress through a successful career in marketing. The aim is to provide you as a practising marketer, with relevant and contemporary marketing understanding to equip you for the current global landscape.

Successful completion of this marketing qualification will establish the capability to succeed at an operational level and to perform an essential and successful professional marketing role within the workplace.

Who is it for?
It is Ideal for those working in marketing support roles (e.g. marketing assistants) or for those whose current job encompasses elements of marketing.

Assessment
Assessment methods are employer-driven, practitioner-based and appropriate for business needs.

Bite-sized Approach

The Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing is made up of two mandatory modules and one elective module – each is taken as an Award in it its own right. By taking all three modules you can achieve the full Certificate in Professional Marketing.

Belfast Met offer all three Awards - one at each CIM Assessment Session. You can apply for each individually or apply for all three to complete the whole Certificate. (NB: Student membership only needs to be paid for once in the year).

The CIM Level 4 Award in Marketing (mandatory module)

Highlights the role and function of marketing in some depth. You will recognise the importance of marketing’s role in driving success and delivering results.
Delivery: Week commencing 17th September 2018 – week commencing 26th November 2018
Assessment: Multiple choice exam on 4th December 2018

NB: The CIM Level 4 Awards are timetabled for Monday and Thursday evenings but are delivered via Blended Learning. Typically, there is an expected commitment to attend college on one evening for face-to-face delivery supported by distance learning activity.

Entry Requirements

This qualification is the equivalent of the first year of a foundation level degree and it is recommended that you have at least one year’s experience working in a marketing or customer service role.

In terms of academic profile, one or more of the following is required:
• CIM Level 3 (Foundation) Certificate in Marketing.
• Any relevant Level 3 qualification.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognised university.
• CIM Diagnostic Assessment to Level 4. (Contact us to take the test)

Important Information

The programmes are taught in English. If English is not your first language, you will also need to provide evidence of at least IELTS Academic Module (6.5)/ Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (Grade B) achieved within the last two years.
