One Year A Level Programme (AS + A2) (Applications only)

This is an intensive course which allows students to take the AS and A2 modules of a subject in one year with all exams taken at the end of the academic year. Students who enrol must have a pass grade (A*-E) in at least one A Level subject.  Applicants wishing to study for an A Level Science subject should have prior experience of having studied at least one Science subject at A Level. 

Full-time students will take two subjects, covering the AS specification in the first semester and the A2 in semester two.

Subjects include: Biology; Business Studies; Chemistry; Economics; English Literature; Geography; Government and Politics; History; Digital Technology; Mathematics; Physics; Religious Studies; Sociology.

You will be invited for a pre entry guidance session at which specific advice will be given.

You will not be required to make subject choices until you are called for an enrolment interview in late August.

This programme of study is likely to include enrichment units which are an additional component to enhance your employability.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have completed an A Level course, be aged 18 or over on 1 July 2018, and have at least 25 points at GCSE level including 5 passes at grade C or above and subject-specific requirements as shown in the A Level prospectus available on theBelfast Met web page.
