The Centre for Skills and Apprenticeships welcomes all those interested in Training, Apprenticeships and Higher Level Apprenticeships and we offer a range of pathways to help advance your education and career across a broad and diverse range of professional and technical areas.

Skills and Apprenticeships provide a professional and technical career pathway and present an exciting opportunity to upskill in your chosen profession whilst working towards accredited qualifications. The Skills  programmes offers a valuable opportunity to gain paid work experience allowing you to explore the career you want to pursue and progress on to an employed Apprenticeship.

The Apprenticeship and Higher Level Apprenticeship pathways offer you the opportunity to earn while you learn, permitting you to gain valuable industry recognised qualifications from Level 2 through to a Level 5 Foundation Degree, allowing you to realise your potential and become a professional in your chosen field. Our aim is to help you decide on your chosen pathway via our broad range of Skills & Apprenticeship programmes and qualifications offered and we look forward to receiving your application.

How Apprenticeships Work(Employed Pathway)

The Traineeship scheme provides a high-quality vocational and training programme aimed at anyone from school leaving age upwards who aspires to work in a specific sector.Each Traineeship has been developed with employers to ensure that what you learn and the skills you develop are what employers are looking for.
NI Traineeships(Non-employed Pathway)
Financial Advice
HLAs offer a pathway for learners to gain Level 4 & Level 5 qualifications whilst actively working in paid employment with partner employers. The entry requirements for HLAs target both those with A-Levels who wish to explore a different learning journey and provides a valuable upskilling opportunity for current employees seeking to develop new skills
Higher Level Apprenticeships

Work Based Learning, in conjunction with local employers, is a critical element of Traineeships. Placement in a suitable work environment makes the learning ‘real’ and supports the development of work ready skills. Belfast Met is currently seeking to partner with employers to provide work-based learning placements.

Mentor Connect
