Statement on Training for Success - Return to Work Placements
The Economy Minister Diane Dodds recently announced that learners on the Training for Success programme can start to return to their work placements. This return should be phased and in line with the wider re-opening of specific sectors of the economy.
Belfast Met are fully supportive of all measures to aid the economic recovery of Northern Ireland, however the safety and security of employers, learners and our staff remains of paramount importance.
Placements can only resume when all revised Health & Safety arrangements and updated paperwork is in place. Trainees should not return to their work placements until all new arrangements are put in place and they have been advised.
The return of trainees to workplaces will be phased, and we will keep you updated as to what is happening.
We will contact all employers who provide workplace placements, to agree when and if trainees can return to the workplace.
We will then communicate with all trainees and parents / guardians to advise when a return to placement is possible and confirm all arrangements. If you are a current TFS learner / parent / employer - Please contact your SSC for further information.
If you are a new TFS learner / parent / employer - Please contact our SSC supervisor Adele McGurk on AMcGurk[AT]belfastmet[DOT]ac[DOT]uk
for further information.
