Fully Funded Training to those impacted by Covid-19

Belfast Met is offering a range of online courses, fully funded by the Department for the Economy, to support those whose jobs have been impacted by Covid-19. Training will be delivered online between August and November and provides an opportunity for individuals to upskill, retrain and gain qualifications.

Courses are delivered completely online with support from a lecturer who will support you through a series of tutorials. Tutorials are designed to be engaging and to encourage interaction and discussion.

Management & Marketing

ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management (FULLY SUBSCRIBED)

Ideal for new or aspiring team leaders to support the transition from working in a team to leading a team. Covers units in leadership and motivating to improve performance. Courses will run in September and October. Please note this course is now fully subscribed, we are no longer accepting applications.

OCN Level 2 Award in Social Media (FULLY SUBSCRIBED)

Improve skills in using a variety of social media sites to manage effective marketing campaigns and promoted products and services. Course will run in in August. Please note this course is now fully subscribed, we are no longer accepting applications.

OCN Level 2 Award in Digital Marketing (FULLY SUBSCRIBED)

Develop an understanding of internet and communications technology for marketing activities, including, search engine optimisation and the use of mobile technologies to maximise customer engagement. Children's Care and Education

CACHE Level 2 Award in Introductory Awareness of Autistic Spectrum Conditions (FULLY SUBSCRIBED)

Gain a basic understanding of Autism and other related conditions, the behaviours exhibited by some individuals with an autistic spectrum condition and how to communicate effectively with individuals on the autistic spectrum. Course runs from Monday 17th August to Wednesday 19th August. Please note this course is now fully subscribed, we are no longer accepting applications.


NOCN Level 2 Award in Meeting the Needs of Learners with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in the Mainstream Classroom (FULLY SUBSCRIBED)

Provides those working with children and/or young people with skills to understand the impact that ADHD has, modify the impact on learning and identify positive behaviour management. Course runs from Monday 3rd August to Wednesday 5th August. Learners must be 19 years or over. Please note this course is now fully subscribed, we are no longer accepting applications.


OCN LEVEL 2 Award in Managing Challenging Behaviour in Children and Young People (FULLY SUBSCRIBED)

Offers individuals who wish to or are currently working with children and young people the opportunity to explore the causes and effects of challenging behaviour and how challenging behaviour may be managed. Course runs from Monday 10th August to Wednesday 12th August. Please note this course is now fully subscribed, we are no longer accepting applications.

Cisco Cyber Security Essentials (FULLY SUBSCRIBED)

Develops a foundational understanding of cyber security and how it relates to information and network security. Students would benefit from experience in IT prior to beginning the course. Course runs from 24th August to 27th August.  Please note this course is now fully subscribed, we are no longer accepting applications.


Microsoft Power BI – Analysing and Visualising Data (FULLY SUBSCRIBED)

This course focuses on maximising value from data sets, creating scalable data models and enabling analytics of data to provide meaningful visualisations. It would be beneficial for the learner to have completed an Excel qualification or have been working in a role that required use of data sets prior to completing this course. Digital Construction

OCN Level 3 Award in Digital Construction with Building Information Modelling (FULLY SUBSCRIBED)

Gain a fundamental understanding of digital collaboration within construction, including digital construction workflows, digital skills for construction and BIM principles. Course begins 25th August. Students will have access to the online materials and can work through the lessons at their own pace. Please note this course is now fully subscribed, we are no longer accepting applications.
