Clearing - Frequently Asked Questions
I’m interested in studying full-time at Belfast Met. What should I do next?
Browse our Full-time courses or Prospectus to find the right course for you. We have a wide range of courses on offer and entry requirements will depend on the level and type of course.
Once you have found the right courses for you (remember you can apply for up to 5 different courses) click on the Apply Now option on the course page to add the course to your basket before completing all information asked for and don’t forget to submit your application at the end. To get the process started, YOU MUST submit an application. To do this online you will have to use a valid email address.
Once you submit the application, you will receive an acknowledgement email. Make sure that your correct contact details are recorded – we will use this or email to get in touch with you if a place becomes available. Be patient and answer your phone and follow instructions in either text, email or both.
If you do not hear from us, please attend the Clearing events!
What is Clearing?
Clearing is a service/event to help those who have yet to secure a place on a course find a suitable vacancy. Courses that still have places available will enter Clearing. Belfast Met's Clearing days will take place on the 21st August for Higher Education Courses (Post A Level) and on 29th August for Further Education Courses (Post GCSE) from 9am to 1pm at the Titanic Quarter Campus.
Full-time Higher Education Courses with vacancies remaining will be allocated based on (a) the time you arrive at our Titanic Quarter Campus and (b) if you meet the entry requirements.
