Future of the College

We seek to continue our tradition of providing ‘state of the art’ buildings for college community and have embarked on a 10 year Estate Plan which will ensure that all our students, staff and stakeholders will have access to stimulating, highly functional and sustainable facilities. Two recent additions to our estate has been the Titanic Quarter building on Queens Island and our ‘E3’ building on our Springvale Site on the Springfield Road. The Titanic Quarter building is our flagship building which finished to an exceptionally high standard. At the heart of this building is a large courtyard with a water feature. This provides a visual focus with the potential for social activities. Around the periphery of the courtyard are high quality streetscapes which integrate well with the surrounding area. In 2011 the college was recognised for its design quality and commitment to sustainability, winning the Environmental Project of the Year at the Sustainable Ireland Awards.

A more recent acquisition to our estate is the ‘high tech’ e3 building on the Springvale Site (Springfield Road). E3 standing for employability, entrepreneurship and enterprise. This 5000sq. metre building is located adjacent to the College’s Millennium Community Outreach Centre and can accommodate up to 350 users per day, drawn from our higher education students, school pupils, start-up companies, local businesses and community organisations.

The link below provides a brief history of the college and charts the development of the titanic quarter site.
