The Students’ Union is run by students for students. It represents YOU while protecting and enhancing the quality of student life at the College. The Students’ Union can promote your concerns and ideas for change to College authorities and outside agencies and organisations.
On enrolment at Belfast Metropolitan College, you automatically become a member of the Students’ Union. This enables you to avail of all Students’ Union support services, obtain an NUS-USI card, attend social activities and receive all free offers and give-aways throughout the year.
There are a number of ways of getting more involved in the Students’ Union:
- Run for election as Union President, Student Governor or site representative. (Elections are planned for October 2008)
- Become your class representative.
- Participate in Union organised activities, events and campaigns.
- Join or start a club or society.
- Write for our Student Newspaper, with three editions per year.
Sporting Clubs and Societies
The Belfast Metropolitan College has a number of established sports teams who have seen a significant amount of success over the last few years. Click Sports Teams to find out more and how you can get involved
If you are interested in getting involved make sure you sign up at our Freshers’ Fair held during September 2008. Getting involved in sport is a great way to meet other students, stay fit and represent the College.
